The charity provides funding to enable energy healers to work alongside conventional medicine providing physical, mental and emotional support for children, teenagers and adults along their cancer journey in NHS Hospitals, Cancer Centres and Hospices. Thanks to the efforts of the Healing Forum and its member organisations, who represent the largest number of healers and other complementary therapists in the UK, it was possible to raise money for this deserving cancer support charity; during the 2018 National Healing Awareness Week, which promotes ‘Wellness’ for all of us in this country. The funds raised will make a positive difference to the Trust’s work. Founder Angie Buxton-King said, "We are so grateful to the Healing Forum for the funds raised via Healing Awareness Week this year and send thanks for their fundraising efforts and for supporting our work." She was joined for the presentation by Teenage Cancer Trust Lead Nurse, Jamie Cargill and Claudia Bonney who provides healing at the Bristol unit.

Keeping the Sun Shining with Healing Awareness Week 2019

Monday 6th May 2019 to Sunday 12th May 2019

A week dedicated to promoting Healing and ‘Wellness’ for all, young and old, male or female; a week filled with ideas and strategies to help everyone achieve a more positive and healthy lifestyle.

Across the country during Healing Awareness Week 2019 the Healing Forum, through its members and their wide variety of complementary skills, will showcase a number of wellness strategies to help change people’s lives in a positive and achievable way and show how easily a few small changes can make a huge difference to our wellbeing and overall wellness. Healing Forum members offer a different and much needed holistic approach to keeping our body, mind and spirit fit and healthy: strategies to work alongside traditional medical solutions that can make a real difference in our lives, at whatever stage that is. This is the aim of this national initiative: to promote solutions we can all easily adopt and help ourselves to ‘Wellness’.
